The Durham Miners’ Association (DMA) is continuing to prepare for this year’s Gala.
The Durham Miners’ Gala is due to be held on Saturday 10 July 2021. This would see the Gala return for its 150th anniversary, following the cancellation of last year’s event in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Alan Mardghum, Secretary of the DMA, said: “We are receiving an increasing number of enquiries regarding this year’s Gala.
“Given the ongoing uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we will continue to consult with our partners who work with us to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone who attends the Gala. A decision on whether or not the Gala 2021 goes ahead will be made no later than April.
“We will keep you updated. We wish everyone well in these difficult and uncertain times.”
