The Pitman's Parliament in the Miners' Hall, Durham is a unique place. For almost a century, it was the scene of many important debates which shaped the lives of our mining communities in the Durham coalfield.

To raise money for the renovation of the pitman's parliament, we're launching a one-off sponsorship scheme.

  • The seats will go 'on sale' in November
  • The minimum seat sponsorship is £100 and all the money raised will go towards the Redhills renovation project.
  • By sponsoring a seat you will be able to have a personalised "pit token" attached to the seat. For example, this could be in memory of a loved one who worked at the pit.

There are 150 seats for which the lodge number is known. Click here to see the full list.
