The Durham Miners’ Association is greatly saddened by the suspension of Jeremy Corbyn from the Labour Party.
As the leader and as an MP he has always fought for the interests of working people and has been a staunch supporter of the Durham Miners’ Gala.
The party has always been a broad church of political viewpoints, none of which can tolerate any form racism or anti-semitism as Jeremy Corbyn has always made clear.
The DMA continues to stand for a united Labour Party, where member can freely express differing opinions free from intimidation or abuse.
We support the campaign for Jeremy Corbyn’s reinstatement to the Labour Party.
