Yesterday’s magnificent 100,000 strong demonstration in Manchester shows that people will stand together in solidarity and oppose the Tory government’s plans to decimate our public services, our social security system and to attack trade union rights.
And today, the Tories have once again shown their true colours by announcing that they will be cutting working tax credits.
It illustrates just how absurd their claim to be the ‘‘workers’ party’’ is. The Tories have never been on the side of working class people but instead serve the interests of the rich and big businesses which fund them.
